Parkrun at Lakes Entrance, Victoria (on Gunaikurnai Country) - A3 Acrylic on paper

We planned our holiday locations based on Saturday mornings, to ensure we were in a town with a Parkrun. I love that these happen all over the world - and that the volunteering spirit is so strong. Lakes Entrance, on Gunai Kurnai Country, is a beautiful location for a walk or run.

The reflections in the lake are stunning. It rained for the start of the event, then the clouds cleared in the sky and the lakes shone too. 

Many people attend this park run on holidays as it is flat, they can run a personal best. I walk the 'parkrun' but also did a personal best... even with a couple of short stops to admire the scenery, the kookaburra that landed on the post, the bird song in the trees.

Hope you enjoy the moment of beauty I saw here too.
